This is Simon Williams from The Ballery.
Over the past 9 years, I have worked passionately to create a safe space for a vibrant and diverse community in Berlin led by artists from all over the world. Throughout the years, I have hosted countless exhibitions, concerts and social events.
As you know, the COVID-19 pandemic turned the world upside down. For sure one of the hardest-hit areas was for those who work in the arts.
To address the challenges brought by the pandemic, I created an online-only show called TransVision where Berlin’s artists can work collaboratively and continue to reach new audiences with their voices. This cohesive collaboration provides a unique experience for those who watch the show online and also at The Ballery where they are recorded. So far, we have self financed and broadcast 8 full episodes (you can watch them all here) as well as several short clips and collectively, our shows have been watched by thousands of people. With each show we are improving!
The Ballery has become a valued and important space for so many people and we need help at this challenging time.
We want to list some of the ways you can support The Ballery and the artists I am working with. You can support me by:
- Purchasing the artworks: The Art section on our website provides a detailed look at all the artworks that are on display at The Ballery. The artworks are for sale and the purchase of these works directly supports the artists who created them. In these challenging times, the sale of artists’ works provides them the lifeline they need to survive.
- Sponsoring TransVision: As mentioned earlier, TransVision allows us to bring The Ballery to the homes of people around the world. If you are working for a company who is willing to support the diverse artists of The Ballery and have your brand appear at our next show, you can get in touch with us and we can explain to you the ways you can be involved with the next TransVision.
- Buying tickets to the events: At The Ballery, we regularly organise events where attendance is only possible via prior purchase of tickets. These events directly support the artists we are working with while giving them a platform to express themselves. You can buy tickets to the events using our shop.
