TThe Ballery – Terms & Conditions of Rental

1. Booking & Payment

  • A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a signed rental agreement and payment of a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total rental fee.
  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days before the start of the rental period.
  • Prices are listed excluding VAT/taxes. Applicable taxes will be added to the final invoice.

2. Rental Duration & Access

  • Day Rental: Access is granted from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM on the agreed date.
  • Week Rental: Access is granted daily from 11:00 PM to 10:00 PM for seven consecutive days.
  • Month Rental: Access is granted daily from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM for 30 or 31 days, depending on the month.
  • Early access or late departures may incur additional fees and must be approved in writing in advance.

3. Included Services

  • Included services are clearly outlined in each rental package. Additional services (e.g., catering, photography, enhanced promotion) are optional and subject to separate agreements and fees.
  • The inclusion of a pianist, wine service, and basic promotion applies once per rental agreement unless otherwise specified.

4. Space Usage & Conduct

  • The renter agrees to use The Ballery for lawful, respectful, and culturally sensitive purposes.
  • The renter is responsible for all attendees, contractors, and collaborators during the rental period.
  • No permanent alterations may be made to the space without prior written permission.

5. Alcohol & Catering

  • The Ballery provides 18 bottles of wine with each rental. If additional alcohol is served, the renter must comply with local licensing regulations.
  • Catering services arranged independently must meet Berlin hygiene and safety standards.

6. Promotion & Public Events

  • The Ballery offers basic promotion on its website and may share event announcements on social channels at its discretion.
  • Renters are encouraged to submit content (event description, image, links) at least 2 weeks in advance for optimal visibility.
  • For public events, the renter is responsible for complying with local capacity, safety, and noise regulations.

7. Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Basic cleaning is included in all packages (daily tidying for week/month rentals; deep cleaning at the end).
  • The space must be returned in a tidy condition. Additional cleaning charges may apply if the space is left in poor condition.
  • Damage to property or furnishings will be assessed and charged accordingly.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations made more than 30 days in advance of the rental date may be eligible for a partial refund, excluding the deposit.
  • Cancellations made within 30 days of the rental start date are non-refundable.
  • In the event The Ballery must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued.

9. Liability & Insurance

  • The Ballery is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to any personal property or work exhibited during the rental period.
  • The renter is encouraged to obtain insurance for artwork, equipment, or valuables used or displayed in the space.

10. Force Majeure

The Ballery is not responsible for cancellations or disruptions due to circumstances beyond its control, including natural disasters, public emergencies, or mandated closures.
